You never know everything about someone

Hello Lovelies

Welcome to a new post idea! This is going to be a weekly post, that I think will be on a Friday. I have chosen to do this as a weekly post because I don’t really have any posts that I write strictly every week. So I wanted to create something that I hope you will all visit my blog every week to see and will look forward to.

Going back to october, I mentioned the fact of my blog not being that personal and that although I love writing what I do, I think it will benefit from some more personal posts too, give it a bit of warmth. I personally think that some of the best blogs are personal and the writers share a lot of their lives with their readers. Although I think that’s lovely, it’s hard to find a balance. Because you’re still an ordinary person and want to have privacy, but also you want your readers to feel really connected to you and feel like you know each of them individually.( Well that’s what I want anyway)

I think that’s why I find it so hard, with anything personal on here. I always find it hard to find the balance between sharing not enough, so people are really nosey and want to know about your life more, and sharing too much. Obviously I am a normal person that has friends and family and people close to me, but not all of them want themselves broadcast across the internet for everyone to see. I know for some people this may seem strange, because I have chosen to do this and go down this road of blogging, but I still have a personal life too! I want to develop as a blogger and hopefully find that balance. I am not going to say that I am an experienced blogger or anything like that, to me, I feel like I still have so much to learn and that my blog is still only a baby. The thing is, when your a blogger you never stop learning and that’s one of the beauties of it.

After scrolling down we heart it (my favourite websit of all time, I absolutely love it) I was going down hearting things and was starting to see quite a few really nice pictures to do with dance. Such as, point shoes and just general girly, dance pictures. If you have been a reader of rachelspick for a long time you know that about a year ago, I did the 30 day photo challenge on here, and on this one particular day:

“A picture of something you”

I created a little slideshow of things that represented me, at that time. Looking back on it now, I have changed so much, there’s a picture of me and I just look sooooo young compared to now, also I mention the fact of singing. I love singing and I always have, but recently it has been put on hold for my other passion in life, dance!

Pictures sourced from we heart it<3

Dancing has not always been a passion of mine. But after my parents encouranging me to go to our family friends dance school, I soon began to catch the dance bug. Going every week, meeting some amazing people and learning to dance was the best thing I could of asked for at that time. But being quite a lot larger than I am now and being in a class with people a lot smaller and skinnier than you,  it was hard for me. But I still loved it, although I may not of been that great at it.

I still remember when I first started dancing and the fear that I had. I suppose it was nothing like what I would have now, if I was in that position, but to me at the age 8/9 it was still a little scary. I only really knew one girl, that went to my school. I knew her quite well but she had been dancing a long time and she knew all the other girls from a very young age. As you can imagine though of someone of that age, I soon started to make friends and have fun!! At this time I had never done any proper dancing before and so I really started as a complete blank canvas, learning ballet, tap and modern, right from the beginning.

I soaked everything up and soon started doing exams and participating in the yearly show. The show, even now is to me the best part of the whole thing. The atmosphere, the performing, the costumes, the lights, the everything, I just love it and always will. Now looking back on the first DVD of the show I did, I can see all the mistakes and how inexperienced I was, to be honest I can barely even watch it because it makes me cringe inside. But all I can say is that I am really proud of myself to be where I am now, because I never expected it.

So let’s fast forward to now! I have been dancing for 6 years and I have loved every minute of it. I have 5 medals from the shows, four exam plaques, ballet, tap, modern and freestyle, bronze and silver and various exam certificates. But to me the certificates and all that doesn’t really mean that much, because I have made some amazing friends from it! I love them all and my QDC family. I see them more than my own family, I can be completely my self around them and wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else.

But one of my biggest achievements in my dancing journey is doing dance in school and getting the top mark, getting most improved dancer in the show and doing GCSE dance. Back then I would never of thought I would be doing GCSE dance and getting the dance school’s most improved dancer and my dance class too. I hope I can continue to love it and have a great show this year.

I hope you liked this in-site into my life and that you know me a bit better now. Also that you liked the first post in the series.

Love you all

A Life Lesson #2

“No matter how hard life gets there’s always tommorow!”

Hello Lovelies

Welcome to the second post in the “A Life Lesson” series. It was extremely popular last time, so I hope it’s as popular this time as before.

First of all, I would just like to apologize for being a bad blogger and not blogging for over 3 days. Although I have been bad, you all definetly have not. On sunday, we reached the highest amount of views in one day I have ever had and last week, we had the highest amount of views for as long as I can see back. Thankyou to you all, it means a lot and I would not be able to do it without you!

As you can probabaly tell by the mini title, this life lesson post is going to be based around having a bad day. Trust me, I know that when your having a bad day it’s not great. You nearly always start the day in an awful mood and you don’t want to go to work or school, feel really ill or something is getting you down. So you are already in a bad mood and things never go the way you want and it’s just typical that things don’t go to plan when your having a bad day. Normally, when your having a bad day, things escalate and get out of control because your in a bad mood. When this happens, you just want to go home and start the day again or lie in a dark room.

Another thing that happens when yor having an awful day is you think that your life is never going to get better. It’s like your in a bubble of bad atmosphere and it’s so thick that you can never pop it. The main thing is in this sitation, the bubble is in your head, really the bubble was never there and there was just a little black cloud floating over your head that day. That cloud passed and now you can see the blue sky.

What I am trying to say is that, however awful your day is, it will end.I love this quote because it’s just so true and when i saw it I knew I had to use it in one of my life lesson posts because it’s so inpirational and makes you realise that there is hope. Sometimes, when your having a less than perfect day, you get to the point where you feel ike life is on tp of you and you get so caught up in life that you don’t know which way to turn. In these times of need, you need something to put you back into reality, this quote is a great one. You could put it as a reminder on your phone, a wallpaper on your computer or a lock screen on your ipod, put it somewhere you will see it and remember it.

I hope you all like it and take from this post that everydya is a new day!

Love you all

Extra Post

Quotes of the day

 Hello Lovelies

Welcome to a little extra post!! For the first little extra post, I thought i would go for a classic and go for something that I did right back when I first started blogging, quotes of the day! This post was something I use to post everyday and was something that started it all off for me, so really, it’s very special and close to my heart. I have mentioned this several times before, but I am a person who loves quotes and they are really the thing that helps me through life. Especially when your a girl, you can get so caught up in something and forget that there’s other things in the world and that there can be light at the end of the tunnel. So by having all these little quotes, it helps to realise, that life’s what you make of it, don’t just float along, get the boat and throw it into the sea and row away.

This time I decided to do this post a little bit differently. Mainly because I am sick of the old way and I wanted to create a different twist on the post because I’m bringing it back. Also, I am a really visual person and my mind always remembers things better when it’s in picture form.

Images from we heart it<3

I know that usually in these posts I just include 1 or 2 quotes and a picture that will go with it. But, like I said, i wanted to do something different, so I have chosen 5 quotes that I think are really relevent to me right now and some that you should all know too. They are all quotes that I think are quite important, especially the one about not giving up. Life throws many things at you and I know that it can all seem to much and get on top of you, but don’t give up. It’s just testing you and you are completely capable of being able to get through any bad time.

Recently I wanted a change, so I changed up my ipod and changed both my lock screen and home screen. I found this great quote: “Don’t let your dreams just be dreams”, this really makes me think everyday, about the fact that everyone has dreams but they will never come true as dreams, you need to act on them and do something to achieve them. This was why I picked the first quote, because I think it’s really relevant right now and something everyone needs to really know!

The All New Primark

Nothing is better than the internet

Hello Lovelies

I honestly can not belive that I am sitting here on my bed, writing this post, in november 2013. I can not believe that yet another month has gone by and we only have two months left of 2013, where has the year gone! It feels like 5 minutes ago,  when I went to center parcs with my family in January, yet that was 11 months ago!!! WOW! This year really has gone quick and I can not believe that it’s the 2nd of november already. But, before I feel like I can move on to November properly, I would just like to ask you all if you had a good halloween and generally had a good or bad october. I had a good halloween and a great october, life has been kind to me recently, so hopefully that carry’s on! Not just for me, but for all you too!

Recently I have been working on a post diary, so I don’t get stuck for ideas for posts and they are not just comepletly random to how I feel that day. This way I know what i am going to write a couple of weeks in advance and then I have time to think about what I want to say and to take pictures and things. But this post was really random. I saw a quick youtube video and it mentioned about the fact that Primark has a new website, well obviously by this blog being mainly fashion based, I knew I needed to have a post about it.

The old primark website was absolutley dreadful, it was not helpful at all. There was just so many things that I hated about it, like you could not see any of the actual stock properly or the prices. Also it was really hard to navigate around and not really a website you expect from such a popular high-street shop. It was shockingly bad and I honestly thought it was pointless. So when I heard that Primark had a new website, I was just so glad and excited to go and have a look.

Images from We heart it<3

Primark’s website has always been something that I really hated about the shop. Because I am a fashion blogger and constantly looking online at clothes, I like to see what I like online and then look for them in the actual shop, and buy them. But with primark you could never do this, because the old website never use to show you a real range of the stock in the shop. So when I went to primark it was just completely blind and I didnt know if there was anything I actually liked or if it was a waste of time. I know for some people they like this and find this the best bit about shopping, but for me, I like to have a rough idea of what is in the shops and the prices of something, before I go shopping.

So when I found out about the new primark website, I was one happy girl!! I was just sooo happy that they had finally sorted it out and that they were a lot more in par with every other high-street shop. I know that being online is not the be all or end all, but it’s 2013 and technology is such a big part of lives, that I can’t understand why you would’nt want your website to be amazing. Especially as primark is very much A british thing and europeans can not go into a primark as easily as we can, you would think they would want a big pressence on the interent. But, instead of me carrying on ranting about why they did’nt already have a great website, i will inform you on the new and improved one!

eprimark new website

The new website shows you all the new products really clearly and is super quick at updating when new stock arrives. Also it shows you how much any item is and when the item was posted on the website. When you click on any item it comes it with a mini profile of the item, which includes things like: whether it’s in store or not, a little about the item and a place to find your nearest store.

The new website has a unique feature called “primania”! This is a social platform for anyone to share their primark looks. I can just tell this is going to become so popular with bloggers and will soon be copied by many other high-street shops, because it’s such a great idea and it helps people with styling the items that they have bought. All the pictures include at least one primark item and they have different categories for different trends to help with the navigation of the whole thing.

Also Primark has been working with a few bloggers to bring the best out of Primark. Bloggers are just so popular now and so many brands really value their opinions and know how they influence people. Many people read blogs and really trust bloggers opinions, that’s one of the reasons why I always try to be honest, so when they do something with a brand and talk about it postively, it helps not only the brand but also the blogger.

Here Primark has worked with blogger becca rose from voussontbeauetbelle. She is an amazing blogger and youtuber and is a real woman with a real shape that many girls look upto. You all need a bit of her in your life.

I hope after reading this post you all go and have a good look around the website and you love it as much as I do!

Style Bible #7- The Key To True Glamour

Hello Lovelies

I’m back with another edition of style bible! Style bible is always a popular post and after looking through my previous posts for my post planning, i saw this post and knew I had to do another one. This post is inpired by a book I have called ” How be to adored” by Caroline Cox. I love this book and base my post around one of the pages in the book, use it, and my own ideas to build a for you all to enjoy .

Also I would like to say how pleased I am about my third “an outfit for £50” post. I mentioned the fact of how the second one of that series went down hill and how i wanted to get it back on track, so all I can say is, that it is  well and truly back on track, thanks to every single one of you!!

The term glamour means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. To some glamour is to be comepletly made up and to be wearing an amazing outfit, to some it’s about making an effort and wanting to look and feel great, but what everyone needs to know before any of that, is what true glamour is. True glamour is the basis to every other definition/view of glamour and is needed before anything else. But true glamour is what every girl needs to know about and be able to act on.

Glamour is term very close to my heart. I see my self as a very glamourous person, I love to dress up, wear heels, bring out my favourite dress and feel great. But to me glamour is not just a materialistic thing, it’s something can not be bought, it’s something from inside, you either have it or you do’t. nBut I also see that you can develop it over time if you truly believe in your self and that you can do anything you desire.

So what I want everyone to know is that although glamour can mean so many differnet things, really it’s just about accepting your self and being truly great!

  • Be yourself.

  • Glamour is not all low-cut gowns and the slinky look. Blue jeans can still make you look attractive.

  • Before you can convince others that you’re attractive, you’ve got to to believe it yourself.

  • Enjoy the fact you’re a woman and men will enjoy it too.

  • Trust your instincts-don’t ask other woman’s advice on how to dress!

  • Skim fashion magazines until you find someone who’s has you rtype of style and base your look around there’s.

I hope that you all take these tips on board and become an ultimate glamourous woman.

Love you all
