Bedroom Re-Design Inspiration

Untitled designUntitled design 2Untitled design 4

Interior design is something I’m really loving at the the minute, especially as im looking to re-design my room in the next few months. At the minte my room still has quite a teenage vibe, with a mix of pink and purple walls, however as my taste’s have changed i’m looking for something a bit more mature and feminine. As well as being a bit more chic and classic, which has a bit more of an adult vibe.

I’m really loving the more scandinavian design at the minute, with the mix of classic colours on the walls, matched with textured fur’s and plenty of prints and quotes on the walls. Also, as most of you know i’m obssessed with everything fashion related and have lots of fashion books that i’d love to display. So, I want to create a space that ultimately brings all these things togther to build a really nice relaxing space, that also reflects my love for fashion and style too.

I’ll keep you updated on all things to do with my bedroom re-design over the next few months, but I thought I would start my showing you some of my inspiration and creating a moodboard of images I love so far.

What interior design are you loving at the minute?

A Chic New Years Eve Outfit

Getting dressed up is one of my favourite things to do, and especially when it’s an outfit that I love. You don’t really get the chance to do it every day, as you’re heading to uni or work, so it’s so nice to spend the time to do your hair and makeup and choose a great outfit to live the night in. New Years Eve is always a special occasion for me and means a lot, so this outfit will have some many memories for me from an amazing night with family, friends and my boyfriend.

IMG_3139The main piece of my outfit was this gorgeous blush pink blazer from LKBennett, and was also such a bargain. It was such a great buy from Biscester Outlet village, and was supposed to be orginally around £348, and I got it for only £83. I couldn’t believe the price tag when i first saw it on the rail, and as soon as i tried it on i fell in love with it. Not only is the colour so gorgeous, it also fits like a glove and looks so classic. It looks elegant and chic, but still has a young, feminine twist, which i know will never go out of style. It’s a piece ill be able to keep in my wardrobe for years and something i know I’ll love forever.

So to make the most of this gorgeous piece, I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit fairley simple and put together, to draw the look into one. To do this, I paired the blazer with my favourite black lace cami from new look. I love how chic and femine this looks, and it contrasts the hard tailoring of the blazer perfectly. It’s also so comfortable and such a staple in my wardrobe. I just wish they brought them out again, as i’ve wanted more ever since, and really fancy a grey, mink or blush pink one.

Then, to finish the look off I paired it with a pair of grey, faux leather trousers. They might look a bit weird, but they add so much class to an outfit and a bit of luxury, as it’s not the traditional denim jeans. As well as the trousers, I wanted to add a bit of sparkle to my outfit, and so i added thsi goregous opal necklace, that i bought from a small independant jewellery stall a few years ago. I dont get that much chance to wear it, but it looked perfect with this outfit and the pink of the blazer picked up the pink of the opal perfectly.

What did you wear this New Years Eve?
