Quotes of the day

 Hello Lovelies

Welcome to a little extra post!! For the first little extra post, I thought i would go for a classic and go for something that I did right back when I first started blogging, quotes of the day! This post was something I use to post everyday and was something that started it all off for me, so really, it’s very special and close to my heart. I have mentioned this several times before, but I am a person who loves quotes and they are really the thing that helps me through life. Especially when your a girl, you can get so caught up in something and forget that there’s other things in the world and that there can be light at the end of the tunnel. So by having all these little quotes, it helps to realise, that life’s what you make of it, don’t just float along, get the boat and throw it into the sea and row away.

This time I decided to do this post a little bit differently. Mainly because I am sick of the old way and I wanted to create a different twist on the post because I’m bringing it back. Also, I am a really visual person and my mind always remembers things better when it’s in picture form.

Images from we heart it<3

I know that usually in these posts I just include 1 or 2 quotes and a picture that will go with it. But, like I said, i wanted to do something different, so I have chosen 5 quotes that I think are really relevent to me right now and some that you should all know too. They are all quotes that I think are quite important, especially the one about not giving up. Life throws many things at you and I know that it can all seem to much and get on top of you, but don’t give up. It’s just testing you and you are completely capable of being able to get through any bad time.

Recently I wanted a change, so I changed up my ipod and changed both my lock screen and home screen. I found this great quote: “Don’t let your dreams just be dreams”, this really makes me think everyday, about the fact that everyone has dreams but they will never come true as dreams, you need to act on them and do something to achieve them. This was why I picked the first quote, because I think it’s really relevant right now and something everyone needs to really know!

The All New Primark

Nothing is better than the internet

Hello Lovelies

I honestly can not belive that I am sitting here on my bed, writing this post, in november 2013. I can not believe that yet another month has gone by and we only have two months left of 2013, where has the year gone! It feels like 5 minutes ago,  when I went to center parcs with my family in January, yet that was 11 months ago!!! WOW! This year really has gone quick and I can not believe that it’s the 2nd of november already. But, before I feel like I can move on to November properly, I would just like to ask you all if you had a good halloween and generally had a good or bad october. I had a good halloween and a great october, life has been kind to me recently, so hopefully that carry’s on! Not just for me, but for all you too!

Recently I have been working on a post diary, so I don’t get stuck for ideas for posts and they are not just comepletly random to how I feel that day. This way I know what i am going to write a couple of weeks in advance and then I have time to think about what I want to say and to take pictures and things. But this post was really random. I saw a quick youtube video and it mentioned about the fact that Primark has a new website, well obviously by this blog being mainly fashion based, I knew I needed to have a post about it.

The old primark website was absolutley dreadful, it was not helpful at all. There was just so many things that I hated about it, like you could not see any of the actual stock properly or the prices. Also it was really hard to navigate around and not really a website you expect from such a popular high-street shop. It was shockingly bad and I honestly thought it was pointless. So when I heard that Primark had a new website, I was just so glad and excited to go and have a look.

Images from We heart it<3

Primark’s website has always been something that I really hated about the shop. Because I am a fashion blogger and constantly looking online at clothes, I like to see what I like online and then look for them in the actual shop, and buy them. But with primark you could never do this, because the old website never use to show you a real range of the stock in the shop. So when I went to primark it was just completely blind and I didnt know if there was anything I actually liked or if it was a waste of time. I know for some people they like this and find this the best bit about shopping, but for me, I like to have a rough idea of what is in the shops and the prices of something, before I go shopping.

So when I found out about the new primark website, I was one happy girl!! I was just sooo happy that they had finally sorted it out and that they were a lot more in par with every other high-street shop. I know that being online is not the be all or end all, but it’s 2013 and technology is such a big part of lives, that I can’t understand why you would’nt want your website to be amazing. Especially as primark is very much A british thing and europeans can not go into a primark as easily as we can, you would think they would want a big pressence on the interent. But, instead of me carrying on ranting about why they did’nt already have a great website, i will inform you on the new and improved one!

eprimark new website

The new website shows you all the new products really clearly and is super quick at updating when new stock arrives. Also it shows you how much any item is and when the item was posted on the website. When you click on any item it comes it with a mini profile of the item, which includes things like: whether it’s in store or not, a little about the item and a place to find your nearest store.

The new website has a unique feature called “primania”! This is a social platform for anyone to share their primark looks. I can just tell this is going to become so popular with bloggers and will soon be copied by many other high-street shops, because it’s such a great idea and it helps people with styling the items that they have bought. All the pictures include at least one primark item and they have different categories for different trends to help with the navigation of the whole thing.

Also Primark has been working with a few bloggers to bring the best out of Primark. Bloggers are just so popular now and so many brands really value their opinions and know how they influence people. Many people read blogs and really trust bloggers opinions, that’s one of the reasons why I always try to be honest, so when they do something with a brand and talk about it postively, it helps not only the brand but also the blogger.

Here Primark has worked with blogger becca rose from voussontbeauetbelle. She is an amazing blogger and youtuber and is a real woman with a real shape that many girls look upto. You all need a bit of her in your life.

I hope after reading this post you all go and have a good look around the website and you love it as much as I do!

Style Bible #7- The Key To True Glamour

Hello Lovelies

I’m back with another edition of style bible! Style bible is always a popular post and after looking through my previous posts for my post planning, i saw this post and knew I had to do another one. This post is inpired by a book I have called ” How be to adored” by Caroline Cox. I love this book and base my post around one of the pages in the book, use it, and my own ideas to build a for you all to enjoy .

Also I would like to say how pleased I am about my third “an outfit for £50” post. I mentioned the fact of how the second one of that series went down hill and how i wanted to get it back on track, so all I can say is, that it is  well and truly back on track, thanks to every single one of you!!

The term glamour means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. To some glamour is to be comepletly made up and to be wearing an amazing outfit, to some it’s about making an effort and wanting to look and feel great, but what everyone needs to know before any of that, is what true glamour is. True glamour is the basis to every other definition/view of glamour and is needed before anything else. But true glamour is what every girl needs to know about and be able to act on.

Glamour is term very close to my heart. I see my self as a very glamourous person, I love to dress up, wear heels, bring out my favourite dress and feel great. But to me glamour is not just a materialistic thing, it’s something can not be bought, it’s something from inside, you either have it or you do’t. nBut I also see that you can develop it over time if you truly believe in your self and that you can do anything you desire.

So what I want everyone to know is that although glamour can mean so many differnet things, really it’s just about accepting your self and being truly great!

  • Be yourself.

  • Glamour is not all low-cut gowns and the slinky look. Blue jeans can still make you look attractive.

  • Before you can convince others that you’re attractive, you’ve got to to believe it yourself.

  • Enjoy the fact you’re a woman and men will enjoy it too.

  • Trust your instincts-don’t ask other woman’s advice on how to dress!

  • Skim fashion magazines until you find someone who’s has you rtype of style and base your look around there’s.

I hope that you all take these tips on board and become an ultimate glamourous woman.

An Outfit For £50 #3

Red Alert

Hello Lovelies

Firstly I would just like to say WOW to the response for my halloween posts. I did try to really push the boat out and do something different, so I’m glad that you all loved it. Thankyou for the support and I love you all.

I was just scrolling down my homepage and looking for a idea for a post for today and I saw this. This post was quite popular the first time I did it and then went a bit down hill the second time, I think that was mainly because I was a bit lazy with the look and went really casual. I thought that you  would like something different, but I do know that you all love it when I go full on fashion!! So after that little blip, I’m back and with a corker of an outfit for you all, but I have over spent a little.

This season red is well and truly back! Whether it’s a full on red dress or just a hint of red lipstick, it all counts towards the red alert trend and adds the ultimate pop of colour to an outfit. Red is known for sultery, sexy vibes and with everyone going mad for a bit of red, every day sexiness is back! You all need to watch out because you may meet someone with a hint of red, who may just surprise you!

With red being a real statement this season and plaid being a big trend, mixing them together has to be a success! So for this outfit on a budget I have incorparated this mix and added a bit of sutle sexiness to today’s post.

1.White Fashion Addict Print Oversized T-Shirt £15.00- River Island

2.Sequin Dogtooth Clutch £25.00- Accessorize

3.Red Tartan Scuba Midi Skirt £17.99- New Look

Now if you have done your maths, you will see that I stretched the purse a bit, but I personally think it’s worth it! Personally I think this outfit looks a lot more than it actually is. All the elements look liek they were a lot more money than they actually were, and they all look really chic and on trend.

Firstly, this clutch from Accessorize is just so beautiful and is worth the money and more. When I went to London yesterday, I saw this sitting in the Accessorize window and absolutely fell in love with it. So when I writing this post, I just knew that I had to get this bag to go with this outfit. I did’nt just choose it because I love it, but also because it brings the whole outfit togther. I love this bag!!

Secondly, this tee from River Island is so chic and the perfect contrast to this outfit. With the chic black and white print and contrasted with the bright red plaid skirt, it looks amazing. I also love the slogan and the fact that it talks about fashion and this outfit really agree’s with the statement, because a fashion addict would definetly be seen wearing this! If your a fashion addict, you need this top, and at only £15, it’s a great price!!

Thirdly, this midi skirt is gorgeous. It looks so much more than it actually is and if you want to get in with the plaid trend but not pay to much for the privalage then this is the ticket. This skirt is just a great price and something that you will just find your self addict to this winter. I love it!!!

So after showing you what you can get for your money and explaining it all, I now need to let you know how you can be a savy shopper and get more for your money. Therefore here’s another 4 tips to help you along your savy shopper journey:

  • Check on the shop you want to buy at’s website!

Recently a few of the high- shops have been doing were there are offers on certain things for a limited time, such as: £10 off all coats or £20 off all jumpers. *these are not real offers, I am just giving an example.

  • Go and shop in mid-season sales.

River Island and Forever 21 are just a few places having these right now. You can get amazing on trend fashion but at a discount!!

  • Don’t buy an item unless it goes with three things in your exisiting wardrobe.

  • Use accessories to change up an outfit and create multiple looks.

I hope you find these tips helpful and you can become a better savy shopper. Also that you feel inspired by the look for £50 and know more what you can get for your money.

Love you all

D.I.Y Halloween Lanterns

halloween craft 1

halloween craft 2

Hello Lovelies

Welcome to the second of my halloween posts!

I know that, when I do themed posts that they can get boring! So I thought that this time I would try and keep them really close together and do something really interesting. Also I would just like to thank you all on the support for my last post. It was much more popular than I expected and after my daily ratings being down for the last few days, it was a real boost. I love you all and I hope you like this post as much as the last one.

When I first had the idea of doing a halloween post/s, I just knew that I had to do something crafty! I didn’t have a clue what and so I spent about 45 minutes just walking around my house looking for inspiration after failing to get any from Pinterest.( That made me sad because usually I find loads of inspiration on pinterest, but on this occassion it kind of let me down.) Anyway, so after walking around the house like an idiot for ages, getting hissed at by a horrible cat that likes to sit on my shed and going outside in my py’s, I finally got inspiration from two empty fanta bottles sitting in my kitchen. I know it sounds weird, but I am only telling you the truth.

So after finding inspiraton from two empty drink bottles, I decided that I was going to make little lanterns with the bottom of them. I know for some people right now, they are probably thinking that, how the hell can I see how to make a lantern from a bottle. The truth is, that I am just a real creative person and I can get an image from my head into what I create physically really well. I am always being creative and love making something out of nothing, that you can then use and treasure. At the end of the day you treasure and enjoy the things you have made the most, because you appreciate the making of it and always look at it and think ” I made that”!

When I started out, I really had absoutely no clue how I was going to get to what I wanted. So I really just improvised and saw little things around the hosue that I thought would work great and then just worked around them. STOP, Wait!!

So instead of carrying on and telling you everything that I did to get to the result I did, I will just get on with it and tell you how to make one for your self.

What You Need

  • An empty drinks bottle e.g Fanta

  • Coloured tissue paper

  • Some kind of string/ribbon/wire

  • Black felt or paper

  • Scissors

  • Pencil

  • Hole Puncher

  • Super Glue

  • Ruler

  • Tea light or Electric candles

1.Get your bottle and cut in the desired place, just below half way. As it’s quite hard to just cut the bottle, it may help you to just squash the bottle at the top and cut it like that!!

2. Take a piece of tissue paper, indeally 23cm high by 33cm long. I used a Craftworks indivual sheet pack from The works. Then cut it in half.

3. Wrap the tissue around the bottle piece and tuck the excess over the top to create a rough guide line for later.

 4. Take the tissue paper off the bottle and lie the tissue paer flat on the table. Cut pieces of about 2 cm thick and using super glue spread a line down th bottle.

5. Now stick the tissue paper on and using the rough guide line, bend the excess over the top of the bottle and stick in down on the inside with a bit of glue.

6. After the first piece has been put on, spread glue along on side of the tissue paper and attach the next piece using the same process as before. Now repeat this until all the bottle is covered.

7. Look at inside the bottle and check all the ends are stuck down.

8. Now decide where you want the handle to be and mark either side with a pencil. Then hole punch where the marks roughly are.

9. Now cut a piece of string, ribbon or wire for the handle. For a short one it should be ideally 20cm and a longer one would be around 40cm.

10. Put the string through the holes and put glue on about 2cm on either end and stick it down on the inside. Don’t worry if the holes don’t go right, still do the same thing and it should be fine.

11. Then cut out a face to put on your lantern, this can be from black felt or black paper and stick it on with super glue.

12. Finally put a candle in it. I have used electric candles but you could use tea lights but I think they may not like the tissue paper and it could cause a fire, so I would recommend getting some electric candles, you can get them from loads of places for usually about £2-£3.
