Festival Fashion

Hello Lovelies

Life has definitely caught up with me and I’ve not had time to sit down and write a post for you all for over two days. That’s my promise of posting every day throughout may out the window!! I hope that you all understand, and I’m trying my best to keep my little blog up-to-date as much as possible. But I’m coming back with a bang, and talking about the well-known subject of Festival Fashion!

As summer seems to be drawing nearer and nearer, we can finally start to get out our summer wardrobes and begin to embrace everything that the summer season brings with it. We no longer have to think about what coat will go with our outfit, or if we need to throw on our trusty boots, because it’s time to get those sunglasses out and start work on that desired summer glow, because at the end of the day, that’s what summer is all about. Just chilling out and creating amazing memories.

Personally, one of the biggest things that I associate with summer, is festivals. They’re just such a massive topic and seem to cover every single fashion magazine when one happens. I think it’s just the fact of how crazy festival fashion is, and there’s only really one rule, and that’s that there is no rules. It’s really a free for all, fashion wise, at a festival. Everyone just wears what ever they want and clashes prints, colours, textures and generally loves rocking the denim and floral crowns. Although it may sound like chaos, it’s actually just an amazing array of stylish people expressing their personalities through their clothes. Which sounds brilliant to me!

But, where do we all start when trying to create an amazing festival look???

It can be really hard to know where to start when planning an outfit for an event that is all-day. You want to be comfortable, stylish, and of course stay cool in the day and a bit warmer in the evening. It really can be hard to find an outfit that creates a nice overall balance, but if you follow these tips, it should help:

  • Be Unique

  • Let your clothes do the talking

  • Wear clothes that are comfortable yet stylish

  • There’s no rules

  • Throw differnet prints, colours, styles and textures together

  • Have fun with it

  • Layer, Layer, Layer

Personally, I like festival looks to be quite different and unique, but still something that you could walk down the street in, and look presentable in. I just think that you don’t want to make a fool of yourself and look completely stupid when you look back on the photos and the various other memories that you had, or regret what you’ve worn. So I think the best way to do this is to take your personal style and then change it up a bit. Add a clashing print with a texture, or pile on loads of rings and small bits of jewellery. This way, your still retaining bit of normal you, but just in Festival mode.

So, to inspire your own outfits and to help you with the whole, wearing something all-day situation, I’ve put together two different outfits to get you going. All these items are available from the high-street and are from Boohoo.com, ASOS, River Island and Topshop!

I hope you all like my take on festival fashion and feel inspired on what to wear to any festival your going to this year. Also, remember that summer is all about fun and making memories, not just about what you wear each day. Just get out, have fun with your friends, and today is the youngest your ever going to be, so live while your young!!

Love you all
