Menswear- How to Summer Day

1 man, 4 styles, 1 day

This post is slightly different and I thought I need a fashion post as I have not done a proper fashion for a while, it is supposed to be a fashion blog! I think menswear is a real gap in the fashion blogging world. You never read that much about menswear and as menswear and women’s wear are getting more alike I think i need to feature menswear.(dedicated to all those boys/men that have been wanting a post on menswear!)

This will be a post series, and there will be a post every week. It will be the same concept but a different place! Its should be fun to explore menswear more and I feel like I don’t know that much about men’s fashion, so I need to learn quickly.

I thought as the official day of summer was on Friday- that i would base the first post of this series on the summer. There is so many brights out there and men’s wear is not  any different as it firmly holds itself in its summer trends.

The post is split into 5 parts. One part for each men’s style, The Indie, The Gentleman, The Casual and The Manly Man. The last part is for me to explain where every thing is from and any other notes that you need to know! I really should just get on with it!

How to

This post was supposed to be up on Friday but I got really un-inspired and needed to re-think about what i wanted to show. So I woke up fresh this morning and with a little help from ASOS have come up with a great first menswear post!!

I love all these looks and I feel really inspired in menswear and I feel like a sponge that just wants to soak in everything that I am learning. I can just tell this post series is going to be one that I will look forward to writing every week. I hope that you all like it and that there’s more to come on the menswear front if this post is popular!

1. The Indie.

This style is a great style to go a bit more out there and experiment with bigger prints and fashions. Denim and big printed shirts are really indie and the addition of a back pack pulls the whole outfit together. This style is very particular though! You need to make sure you get every element of it right to really nail the whole Indie look.

2. The Gentleman.

This look is just so classic and I just love it. It’s bang on trend and has a modern edge with the dip dye shirt, but also has classic touches with the stripes on the dip dye. The brogues are a great price and great investment as they are neutral and will go with anything and everything. Also this outfit would be great for any summer day, whether a meal out or a trip to somewhere nice!!

3. The Casual.

This trend is one of the easiest but also one of the hardest because plain is not really in at the moment. So I went for dip dye shorts that are bang on trend and are also simple colours, white and blue. I teamed it with the really casual flip plops that  are perfect for lazy summer days, they will keep you cool and you will rock the casual look too.

4.The Manly Man

This outfit is my favourite. It is quite manly but has fashiony twists to it. The converse are a great investment and as i have two pairs of the white converse my self I know how much you actually wear them, even if they do get a little bit dirty, you can wash them so no big problem. The shirt fits the brief so perfectly and is really diverse by having the top buttons pen or closed and having the sleeves rolled up or down. The skinnies and the belt bring the look together.
